Personality: Despite having the personality of a peacock and a wolverine’s love child, she manages to get away with it by having influential parents, social “talent,” natural skills and beauty. Her social talents include guilt-tripping and fake-friendliness. Most of her popularity was based on a very high level of superficiality. There's also a bit of fear involved as she enjoys insulting anyone who doesn’t fit her standards. She’s got a poisonous tongue when she wants to use it.

Ana’s response to work is composed of two very different responses. If she shows natural talent she’ll do anything to improve herself in that subject. She can self-motivate herself only if she believes there is no chance of failure. In reality, she’s not incredibly smart, but manages to appear so by dropping all the classes after her fifth year in which she did not receive an E (or higher). Before her fifth year, she was fairly miserable, unable to pull herself together for the classes she didn’t like, which resulted in 3 Ps and a D. There’s a possibility that she could have passed or even excelled any of the subjects she flunked if she’d simply tried. Ana’s problem is that she refuses to in case she does fail. She strongly dislikes being forced to do things she doesn’t want to and has a tendency to dig her heels into the ground once she’s made up her mind.

Her parents favor her as the oldest child and only daughter. In return she tells them what they want to hear and do as they say without much question. When she was encouraged towards the DE lifestyle she simply went along. She hasn’t really thought if she believes what the other DEs do… it’s just a way to please her parents and get what she wants. In her mind, manipulation is a form of hard work. She doesn’t believe that things have gotten dropped in her lap simply because she was the one who twisted things her way. To her it seems like this was simply her payback for working to soften her parents.

Ana has a number of nervous tics that add to a fairly obsessive behavior. She cracks her knuckles a lot when nervous, and must have things just so. She has issues caring about people, although she likes using people (it makes her feel warm and fuzzy powerful). She has a particular… fondness for younger men (LEGAL age. As in, 18, 19, and 20. Five years younger, but still legal. She just ogles the younger ones.). They make her feel younger and allow her to cling at the remains of her school popularity.

Ana hates people who discriminate against women. She completely believes that women should have importance and power. In general, she blows even the smallest discrimination out of proportion. She wants them to get what they want. Ana finds it impossible to believe that any woman would want to be left at home having her life run (as she sees it). She doesn’t necessarily want them to work hard, but to do what they wish. Ana gives herself more credit than she deserves. In a lot of ways she has no real power (it's all taken from somewhere else) but she refuses to see this.

In a lot of ways, Ana hasn’t really grown up. All of her behavior exhibits shallow tendencies.

Strengths: Both magical and personality:

Academics: Ana is naturally skilled at Astronomy and Potions and worked a bit to be good at (Defense Against) the Dark Arts to please her parents. She’s been skilled in several classes her parents felt would make her more refined and skilled (dancing, playing the piano, embroidery… you get the point). Via exposure, she’s learned what’s proper for parties and such. She’s quite musically with a wonderful singing voice. Additionally, she’s a pretty good writer and is fully aware of this.

Personality: She’s skilled at insulting people and making good contacts. She’s pretty good at lying and pretending to be sincere. Her insults often cut deeply, sometimes even worse than she intended. If she doesn’t care about someone she has no ethical issues about lying, torturing, or even murdering him or her. She’s skilled in turning her fears into drive, often overcompensating for her mistakes.

Weaknesses: Both magical and personality:

Academic: All the classes that Ana found boring or too dirty she didn’t do well on. She did poorly at Herbology, Runes, History of Magic, and Arithmancy. As such, she immediately dropped them. She’s not really exceptional at much. There’s usually someone better than her at everything. She’s not terribly bright, instead enjoying to skate by on what comes naturally or with little study.

Personality: Ana is… not nice. In fact, she kind of fails as a person. People she doesn’t like/doesn’t want to like her pick up on this immediately. She is pretty weak and easily swayed with bribery. She can be dangerously overconfident. She’s generally immature and spoiled. Since she’s had so much handed to her she finds it difficult and beneath her to commit tasks that involve grime and hard work. This makes her, overall, immature. Also, her past entanglements may come back to haunt her as she’s often indiscreet about them. As previously mentioned, Ana is pretty unethical.

Fears: Ana fears a loss of status or respect. She blows failures out of proportion and always needs someone to affirm that she’s doing fine. She also fears aging; she wants to be young and beautiful and fashionable forever.

History: Ana is the oldest of three children. Her two younger brothers (Anton and Owen) were not as subjected to pressure from her parents which she resents a little, but not much. She was born in Bobruisk where she lived until she was five. Her family decided to send her (and subsequent siblings) to Hogwarts, not to bring the kids to Durmstrang because of the move.

At school, she did well in subjects she liked and poorly at those she didn’t. Ana is that girl in school that many people hate but still manages to somehow have sycophants and boyfriends due to a lot of money, beauty, and influence. She made friends (/stepping stones) and became a prefect. Straight out of school her parents found her a job working in the Daily Prophet. She’s worked her way up a bit, and plans to be one of the top editors by the time she’s 35.

Since she doesn’t want to grow old, Ana surrounds herself with the young and the beautiful. Her beaus are usually five or so years younger than she. She followed (and follows) her parents wishes except for one thing; she refuses to be a trophy wife. She’s far too driven.

She wants a lot but often struggles to actually do anything. When she does work at something, however, she usually succeeds.

Physical Description: At the least, provide base details of build, height, eye/hair colour, and complexion. (PB is Mena Suvari) Ana is short (5’2”), small, and a little curvy. Her original hair color is a darkish brown, but she’s dyed her hair to a shiny blonde, usually straightened. Her eyes are hazel, but usually more green than brown. She prides herself in her pale and good skin.

Significant Relationships:
Family: Optional: Ana and her brother Anton are fairly close. Their friendship was damaged when Anton became famous because Ana is a competitive bitch. But now they are good. Owen… Ana doesn’t talk to Owen much. She sends him nice things for his birthday and Christmas but that’s it.

Special Considerations: Such as broom ownership, being an animagus, famous in some form, or a metamorphmagus. All are subject to mod approval. Ana owns a Firebolt courtesy of her brother, Anton. I also realize that under the somewhat-recent caps Ana is both rich and pureblood. However, she is Anton and Owen’s sister so it would be a bit difficult for her to be not rich and pureblood. Additionally, since she’s an Atlas character theoretically this doesn’t mess with the Hogwarts numbers.

Ana tapped her quill lightly on her pad of paper in a steady rhythm. Where was the damn subject? She glanced at her watch… 12 minutes and 22 seconds late. God she hated waiting. She especially hated waiting for a halfblood. She mentally leafed through the questions she would ask. She had her instructions on how to portray him, and she fully intended to carry them out.

As he entered the room, apologizing profusely and trying to be charming, she only smiled at him coldly. None of his actions would matter in the end. She would see that the article made him appear weak… she did hate waiting.

Character Alliance: Ana is a Death Eater with grand ambitions of moving higher on the ladder. At times when she's overpassed for a "promotion" she blames someone else. However, she continues to strive for a key position. This makes her willing to do some of the more unethical duties.
